What the practice looks like

Holotropic Breathing involves lying down, relaxing and breathing as rapidly and deeply as possible to release blocked physical and emotional energy. The breathing pattern is explained and demonstrated in the beginning and there is time to ask questions. You will be introduced to the physical effects you might feel in your body during the session.
All guidance is a suggestion, an invitation for you to explore the energetic changes through breathing deeper.

Inhale. Exhale.
Release Stress,
increase Energy.

What is Holotropic Breathwork
As a method of self-exploration, Holotropic breathwork (HB) incorporates experiential elements such as rapid breathing, music, bodywork, and talking. HB is promoted to induce deep states of altered consciousness and release blocked energy and emotions. (1)

Developed in the 1970s
Pychiatrist Stanislov Grof experimented and developed this breathing pattern in the 1970s as a drug-free way to induce a non-ordinary state of consciousness.
